Angie Bone is a public health physician and Associate Professor of Practice in Planetary Health at Monash Sustainable Development Institute, which is part of Monash University, Australia. She has over 15 years of policy, operational and research experience on the relationship between the environment, human health and health equity, following several years working in global health. Angie is a former Deputy Chief Health Officer (environment) for the state of Victoria, and Head of Extreme Events and Health Protection at what is now the UK Health Security Agency. She has first-hand experience of health system planning, preparedness, response and recovery to climate-related emergencies, as well as upstream policy development to reduce risk, including influencing housing policy and regulation.
Angie is also a Board Member of Doctors for the Environment Australia, the leading medical voice on health and climate in Australia.
